POSCO FUTURE M Acquires 'ISO37301' International Standard Compliance Management System Certification

POSCO FUTURE M has become the first in Korea’s battery materials industry to obtain the 'ISO 37301' certification for its international standard compliance management system.
'ISO37301' serves as a certification that verifies a company's establishment of a compliance management system tailored to the global business environment. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) established this standard in 2021, comprehensively evaluating regulations and guidelines for compliance management to grant certification.
POSCO FUTURE M successfully passed the certification review, reflecting the outstanding results of its company-wide efforts to develop and operate a compliance management system.
Since 2006, within the framework of ESG management, POSCO FUTURE M has implemented a Compliance Program (CP), actively adhering to internal controls and risk checks. In 2019, the company appointed a compliance support officer and further strengthened its compliance management system by revising standards for compliance controls and legal procedure guidelines.
Moreover, the company conducts monthly ethics training for all employees and distributes compliance reports containing up-to-date legal information and policy trends, underscoring the importance of building internal consensus on the need for compliance management.
While expanding business collaborations, such as securing large-scale supply contracts with global battery and vehicle manufacturers and establishing overseas joint ventures, POSCO FUTURE M anticipates that this recent certification will elevate the company's credibility regarding its compliance management system among internal and external stakeholders.
Kim Myung-ho, the Legal Affairs Head at POSCO FUTURE M, remarked, "As the trend of strengthening ESG management continues, the need for enterprises to establish a compliance framework is increasing. Beyond product competitiveness, we aim to lead the battery materials industry as a 'First Mover' in compliance management."
